Departure: Around 8h30 AM?
Arrival: Around 9h30
Distance: 2.6Km
Type Walk.
Gear: Like yesterday.
Not much. I came out, the cleaning woman was brushing the pavement in front of the building. Walked to 28 de Julio. Nothing special. Walked on Larco. A guy tried to give me a flyier for La Lucha, sugucheria Criolla, but I passed. Got to parque Salazaar. There was this woman who is always there. I walked through the malecon, as usual. The water was quite clear. Less surfers than usual. Two Teckels where resting next to a bench. Stopped at the bench at my usual spot. The dogs of the park made their entrance. There was this Jack Russell. There´s something about Jack Russells that makes me smile.
I was thinking about Lima. This worrying situation. 8.5 million inhabitants. Buildings as far as the eye can see. Very little water, ce paysage denaturalisé, the streams that have disapeared and not a single cultivation around. And Limeños seem to have no will to get out of this situation. I mean the bajada Balta could be a vegetable garden. And I´m almost totally alone here. I have no friends to create some sort of team to do stuff....and I am kind of shy to get involved in the life of this community. Gathering people around? Organizing stuff? Going to the municipality and telling them what they need to do?
Anyway, there was a group of young tourists. Americans maybe from a school or something. I heard one mumble something like "...every singleday". I went under the bridge. There was a man under there on the ground there was some vegetals and somewater dripping from above. Went up and headed my way back home with no particular event. I stopped to buy bananas and that´s all.

Walk to the nearest park.
Departure: Around 8AM
Arrival: Around 9AM
Distance: 2km
Type: Walk
Gear: Sandals, my usual short sleaved shirt, blue shorts, cap, sunglasses, cell phone, key set, wallet.
The objective behind this walk was to get away from the noise in my flat and seek for silence. You know. In the block next to mine, there is the construction site. And now another one in the same block is starting.
I stepped out and walked on Alcanfores. A young girl on the other sidewalk, a squirel a his usual positon and paisanas selling honey and seeds snacks (Quinoa and kiwicha stuff). I arrived at the park and sat on a bench. 2 nanys where walking the kids of a mother I guess because one was blonde, unlike the carers. Kids make noise. They scream. But that didn´t bother me much. What bothered me was the other construction work on the malecon. I think it´s the sewer or the water pipes again. More noise. They where drilling or using a machine so I decided to go further away. On the way I saw this woman I often see around. Then, I found a bench, quiet enought and sat there for a while. There was a dude sitting on another bench and this woman playing ball with this short haired pointer which probably had some Weimar in it. It was quiet. We could hear little birds singing around. I sat there around 15 minutes to calm my nerves and came back through the same way. Alcanfores. They where taking a group picture at the Humpty Dumpty Nido. I stopped at a frutero to ask if his bananas where organic..and they wheren´t so I went to the other one. I asked for a "mano". That´s 5 bananas! There was this guy, which I often see in the neighbourhood with whom I exchanged a few words. I dropped my wallet, picked it up and went back home.

Walk Sector 9
Departure: Around 8:00AM
Arrival : Around 9:00AM
Distance: 2.6Km
Type: Walk.
Gear: My white cotton short sleave shirt (Fresh), my blue shorts(fresh), my sandals, key set, cellphone, wallet.
Not much. Same walk as usual. Three surfers on Larco walking. A girl with blonde hair and suncream on her face. 2 dudes. One blonde with a sort of Mohawk, both of his arms where heavilly tattooed with blue green ink. A taller short brown haired guy with a round tattoo on his his back.
I arrived in front of the Majestic. I saw a "Bigoudi" on the floor. Made me smile. It´s a sign. Crossed the street. The surfers headed to the Mirador and see the waves.
I walked along the Malecon as the surfers catched up and passed me. This man saluted me. I saw this woman I saw a couple of times walking her dog. I stopped at the parque Champagnat on a bench. That place is the meeting spot of local dogs..as manny parks. I sat there for a time. A dude saluted me. I´ve seen him before. He mumbled something to me and saluted me. I think I know what he said to me. Another few people passed in front of me as I was sitting on the bench.
There was that same man at the same place...as usual. Then I went under stepped up and came out the other way. On the top a friendly dog was looking at me with emotion shaking his tail as I came close to him. I said "hola" and he jumped on me putting his two dirty paws on my clean shorts. Dogs do that. I tapped his head kindly, said a word to its owner.
I came along the Club Terrazas. At the corner of 28 de Julio I crossed this woman I often see around. I was walking behind her on 28 till she went her way towards Larco. (I know where she was heading.)
Then, I understood why I did not go straight yesterday. There are two options. It´s either taking the short path and crossing out of the crosswalk or going up the street to take the crosswalk. It´s a hard choice. On one hand we have:
1- Shortening the distance by 50m, saving precious energy.
2- Sticking to the law by walking on the crosswalks.
As I am a bit undisciplined I decided the first option because I thought there where no cars. (The rule is that you can cross if you look around well and there are no cars within a good distance) I looked around but forgot to look on 28 de Julio and a car was actually coming. No biggie but...you know: I Gotta look in all possible directions if I´m going to become an outlaw.
That´s all.

Early morning walk (Sector 9)
Departure: Around 7:30 AM (I Think)
Arrival : Around 8:30 maybe?
Distance: 2.6KM
Type : Walk
Gear: Cotton "RASTA" T-shirt with a Cyan drawing, cotton navy blue running short, white cotton socks, cyan and flashy yellow Nike sneakers, keys, cellphone.
Stepped out, turned left on Alncafores, walked through 28 de Julio, I crossed this man I often see around turned on 28 de Julio. I was walking fast because it was my warm up before running. It wasn´t really planned. I´m not usually a morning runner because I often feel a bit dizzy in the early mornings but this morning I was feeling fine and it had been a while since I last ran. I arrived to the Parque Salazaar and did some brief stretching and warming up exercices. "Hip hula houps", knee grabbing and ridiculous stuff I do before running...
I started to run on the Malecon heading for the Intihuatana. As it´s sunday morning the Malecon was filled with runners and bikers in flashy sport clothes: I was one of them, today.
I didn´t run much. I mean..I have the energy to pass the bridge and go to the other side but I´m on a weight gaining phase as I said yesterday so I have to relax a bit and stick to the short morning route. I know it´s ridiculous but I only run 800 meters. I have to think about it because running too much would make me loose weight and increase my food rations. I don´t really have the budget for that currently. Usually I run 1km. You know I´m not a big runner. I run to have the heart pumping from time to time, get the blood flowings, lungs, muscles..all that.. you know. Maybe one day I´ll increase my distance and run 2km. Who knows what the future will be like for me.
So I stopped at the Intihuatana. There was this man who is always there. I saluted him. A few girls sitting at the beso frances with french music. A strong smell of fried batter. I sat on a bench at the parque Marcelino Champagnat to relax a bit, look around see the birds and contemplate the sea. A dude with a big buldog came close and mumbled something. The visibility was quite clear this morning. Small waves at Makaha beach a few surfers. A lot of surfers far away at la Pampilla. A car stopped and tourists come out. Maybe Germans I don´t know. The typical old white tourists with grey hair (Often slightly overweighted..sorry to say that). They could have been Anglo-Saxon, Dutch or even French for all I know. I thought I heard them speak french but then again I heard another language. They could have been a mixed group.
I passed under the bridge relaxing. Runned up the stairs to keep exercising. Walked along the Club Terrazas. A muscled blue eyed blond bearded surfer I don´t know saluted me. I turned on 28 de Julio then turned at Larco by mistake. Now that I think about it, I wasn´t supposed to take that turn.
Anyway, turning on San Martin, I crossed two men I know who saluted me. "Gutten Morgen" he said. The other said "Good Morning".
And that it.

Arrival: 1:00 Maybe...
Distance: 5Km

Went to see the doctor. Went out got back to the apartment to refill on water and pan con palta.
Went to the market with my big travel backpack. Filled it up generously with supplies with the weight gain in my head. I stopped at a lot of stands. It´s supposed to last a week.

Same same
Same walk.
Departure: Around 9:00 I don´t know.
Arrival: Around 10h30...maybe
Type: Walk.
Distance: 2.6km
Same same. Not much to say. I´m a bit tired to describe the whole walk. Nothing special. I haven´t seen any one I know. Some people in the streets... tourists, non "regulars"...like a Thurday morning. I stopped at the bank for a transaction. Took the picture of a construction site in front of the bank but the file got corrupted. I walked towards Larcomar. They are actually working on the playground. Walked throught the Malecon took the picture of the Rosa Nautica. It´s was very misty and we can´t see it. I accomplished a secret mission. I came back through the usual way. I stopped at the bench thinking a bit and came back to my appartment.

I spotted a work site far way, further on Alcanfores.
I got to the Larco crossing with 28 de Julio. I saw the german guy again. He talked to me and left. I crossed Larco and noticed this. When did they paint these cycle paths? They weren´t there yesterday I guess.
Then I saw that add. OE! is Oeshle. Oh hé ! An interjection to catch your attention or to make you snap out of it. Oeshle...Huevoleche. With that pretty woman sitting there on a stool.
I followed Larco, passed in front of that guy (a regular) who was selling books.
He had two books in his hands:
- "Fire and Fury" by Michael Wolff (A critic book of Donald Trump). "Fire and Furry" That´s the expression Donald Trump used to answer to Kim Jong Un.
- A book from Mario Vargas Llosa. The very prolific Arequipan writter. I wonder how he does to writte so manny books. Some are easier to read than others.
Kept walking. Saw this little construction site next to Inversiones La Cruz.
This little construction site on the other side of the street. Sewage or water pipes again?
I said water pipes because apparently this house just in front had no water. A SEDAPAL truck seems to be pumping water into a house. A few houses might have been out of water because you can see that guy filling a "marmite". I saw him heading to another house. I heard him say it was going to be for the toilets I think.
That´s a big yellow crane at that big construction site at that corner.
I kept moving. I thought I passed two strange dudes saying. "esta tomando fotos" "me llegas al pincho". There is this parking on which they alway stick advertising getting close to the Marriott tower.
- This Inca Cola add. Saying "Sin Floro". "Floro" means talking a lot to convince someone. There´s a pun with "Sin Fluor" I guess. And "Sin azucar". There are a lot of critic concerning sodas and their exessive use of sugar so they are trying to save their image. I wouldn´t drink it anymore anyway.
- A Netflix. Add for a series. Altered Carbon. I think I saw that on Netflix. I thought it was about people who lived different lives in different bodies or something like that. That´s creepy. We see this naked dude in a plastic wrap with a gun. I don´t know what "Altered Carbon" Stands for.
- Then there´s this Shark Tank Colombia. I don´t watch that show. It´s on the cable though.
- This woman promoting a bluse for Ripley.
- Aquarious. I think it´s a light lemon watery soda. I don´t drink soda. Just water, organic juices and infusions.
- A K.F.C add. Chicken wings, add. That´s monstrous. Don´t go there. I´m starting to get angry. Colonel Sanders always sounded like a scessionist civil war Colonel to me.
- This USIL add. With soy Tercio Superior PE. Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola. They have a local upstream the Huatica. San Ignacio de Loyola..I guess it´s a christian thing. There´s a pun with soy "Tercio Superior" that must be a university level but I guess the sentence also means "I´m a third superior". Which suggest that if you study there you become somehow superior. There´s this picture of this girl studying on a couch.
- "Quick llama" ..yet another airport shuttle service connecting the Callao Airport to Miraflores. They just don´t care.
In front of the Marriott there´s this house with a garden and this Maleza. It HAS TO be removed and disposed of!
I got to the parque Salazar and saw that it was crouded. A lot of people as it´s sunday. A young croud mostly with sports men or women. A lot of bike riders. Sunday morning sports? People allways come to Larcomar on Sundays. There was this blonde couple. The guy had a big blond beard and long blonde hair. The girl had no beard but she was blonde I think. They where standing talking observing the place.
I got in the parque Salazar and saw this add. "Mantenimiento de juegos infantiles..disculpe la molestia" You can probably take that out because I guess the work is done. The playground seems active, right? A lot of kids there..as usual. Kids yelling stuff. Little girls screaming high pictched histerically. A playground.
I followed proceeded to the Malecon. Another empty place there with "Excavationes Profundas". Notice again how decorative and highly sofisticated is that wall. Like near my building. These green leaves.
The blond couple was following my path. I thought I heard him say: "Jesus Christ" at this spot. There, the hay of bushes has dried up. So I don´t know. It´s either we keep watering the parks of the malecon or either we let it totally dry. No in betweens. It´s uneven! I´m for drying it up. There were a lot of bikes and people on the Malecon. I took a picture of the arrow on the Bike lane but the file got corrupted. There´s a circulation problem on that lane and bikers keep thinking it´s double sided. Beware bikers! That bike lane is dangerous. It´s just one direction. Just like the one in 28 de Julio.
I took some pictures of the Slopes but they got corrupted aswell. I wanted to show the weird geomallas/creeping crawling wild weeds situation. I don´t know what to do about that. The weeds have growned back and entangled themself in the geomallas. My idea is to stop watering that place and remove the maleza that remain. As for the Geomallas. They are there to protect the costanera from gravel which I don´t use because I don´t have a car.
Then I took a picture of the mist. Quite thick today. We couldn´t even see the Rosa Nautica.
I got to Intihuatana square and took a picture of this little park. Remember? From yesterday. The one with the little army of gardeners. Well they left it like this. A lot of people at the "Beso Frances". I sat a couple of minutes there on a bench looking around as if nothing.
I took this picture of these flowers. I´ve never noticed before. They are blooming. Got under the bridge and up upsteam along the left bank of the Huatica.
They are selling and renting these appartments. Remax and the airballon. A famous real estate company. Knew someone who work(ed) there.
I though for a while which way I was going to go to get back home and decided to take 28 de Julio. There´s was this big vehicule at Groomers (%$&//($%##), a veterinarian with that dog wrapped in a towel. Makes me think of the "sheep dog" van of Dumb and Dumber. Groomers is that related to Google? Sames colors, same order. Double a big G double OO´s. Sounds familiar.
Kept walking and saw this big vehicule in front of that big hotel. They often park there. They will never learn.
Kept walking. Same hot air balloon accross the street. I got back home calmly.
